The Jaron Freeman-Fox w/Simon Nyberg + Big Fiddle Little Fiddle house concert was a wonderful time! 50 people crowded into Lou's beautiful kitchen for a super-fun night of sounds and stories, thanks to everyone who came along! Lou served up delicious Georgian salad at interval, out on her patio under the fairy lights, it was magical. Here are some shots of the action, taken by photographer extraordinaire Adam Purcell of www.melbourneceilicamera.org:

Warn the neighbours! The usual sound of 16 strings emanating from our house will be amplified with an extra 24 when Canadian fiddler Jaron Freeman-Fox and Swedish guitarist Simon Nyberg crash the neighbourhood to play some tunes, with Big Fiddle Little Fiddle w/ Volga Tunca adding our own musical capers.
Jaron Freeman-Fox (fiddle, viola d’amore, throat singing) and Simon Nyberg (twelve string guitar) will share their Scandinavian explorations, Siberian extrapolations, Balkan exacerbations, and Carnatic interpolations! Souls bared, secrets shared, and ways fared. For those with omnivorous fiddle tastes and a bent for the ringing sounds of 40 resonant and sympathetic strings, get along to TryBooking, grab a ticket and get the address, and come and join us in the kitchen. http://theoppositeofeverything.com/site/ https://www.facebook.com/events/2354630631219713/ |
